LESSONS
Oak Ridge provides lessons to serious show candidates only.
Oak Ridge does not provide lesson horses. Occasionally, a lease option is available.
Anyone who shows horses knows that success requires more than one lesson a week. Oak Ridge has found, through its 30 years of creating competitive show riders, that a minimum of two lessons a week is critical. While we realize that this is sometimes not possible, a rider (and/or her family) who cannot commit to at least 4 lessons per month is not accepted.
We find
that video is an exceptional learning tool. Lessons are videotaped
at regular intervals and the resulting tape is reviewed as part of the
lesson.
